This guide provides a general overview of the typical Metabolic Balance client journey — from onboarding and blood work through meal plan creation and ongoing coaching support.

While every coach and client experience may look slightly different, this page is designed to help you better understand the core workflow, key tools, and important steps involved in supporting your clients throughout the program.

INITIAL CONSULTATION

The Initial Consultation is often the first meaningful touchpoint in the client journey and an opportunity to better understand your client’s unique goals, challenges, lifestyle, and support needs.

Every coach structures this process a little differently.

→ Some coaches choose to offer a complimentary Discovery Call before inviting the client into a paid Initial Consultation.

→ Other coaches prefer to combine the consultation and enrollment conversation into one session, using the time to explain the program while getting to know the client’s health history, goals, lifestyle, and support needs before discussing next steps for enrollment.

It's recommended to send brochures, introductory videos, or welcome resources beforehand so the client arrives feeling informed and prepared. This also allows the session to focus more fully on the client and their health needs.

→ Some coaches choose to complete the Client Profile Form together with the client during the session, allowing the conversation to naturally uncover important health history, goals, and lifestyle considerations while creating a more personalized onboarding experience.

→ Other coaches prefer to dedicate the session entirely to conversation, questions, and relationship building, then send the Client Profile Form to the client by email immediately before or after the consultation for completion.

There is no single “correct” structure — your process may evolve over time depending on your coaching style, practice model, and the type of support you want to provide your clients.

PAYMENT & ENROLLMENT

Once the client feels ready to move forward, the next step is typically collecting payment and officially onboarding them into the program.

→ Many coaches choose to collect the initial payment digitally through Stripe or directly through their website to create a smoother client experience.

→ Some coaches also choose to send a Welcome Package after payment has been received, including next steps, blood work instructions, required forms, scheduling information, and helpful preparation resources.

It’s recommended to keep the onboarding experience simple, organized, and as automated as possible in order to reduce administrative follow-up while creating a smoother client experience.

CLIENT COMPLETES INTAKE FORMS

The client must complete the Client Profile Form / Fiche Client(e) as well as the Consent Preferences.

→ The Client Profile is required to collect all necessary information needed to request the client’s personalized meal plan.

→ The Consent Preferences is a useful tool that allows clients to review and select their consent preferences regarding the sharing of personal health information with Metabolic Balance Global AG (Head Office).

→ As a reminder, you will be responsible for transferring your client’s consent selections into the Coach Portal when creating their Client Profile.

PREPARE FOR BLOOD WORK

→ Complete the appropriate laboratory requisition process based on your client’s country or region

→ Share any required requisition documents or instructions with your client

→ Your client should fast for approximately 8–10 hours prior to their blood draw and avoid alcohol for at least 48 hours beforehand

If any questions arise, please visit the Blood Work & Laboratory Testing section of our FAQ page. As always, if you don’t find the answer you’re looking for, you’re welcome to submit your question to our team so we can continue expanding the resource library for all coaches.

ENTER CLIENT INFORMATION INTO THE COACH PORTAL

This is the stage where you will create your client’s profile inside the Coach Portal.

During this process, you will:

→ Input the information collected in the Client Profile Form

→ Transfer the client’s Consent Preferences into the Coach Portal

→ Enter your client’s blood work values

If needed, you can revisit the Practical Training videos or visit the FAQ page at any time for additional support

VERIFY CLIENT DATA & GENERATE MEAL PLAN

Before requesting the meal plan, carefully review all client information and blood values inside the Verify Data section of the Coach Portal.

Ensuring accuracy at this stage helps avoid delays or errors in the meal plan generation process.

DOWNLOAD MEAL PLAN & SHARE WITH CLIENT

Once the meal plan has been generated and approved, you’ll be ready to prepare your client for their Metabolic Balance journey.

In many cases, meal plans are approved very quickly — sometimes immediately — provided there are no issues with blood values falling outside the expected ranges or situations requiring additional manual review. Please note that once a meal plan has been approved, it becomes billable within the Coach Portal.

Download the completed meal plan from the Coach Portal

→ It is recommended that clients initially review only Phase 1 & Phase 2 of the plan during onboarding

→ Take a few moments to review the meal plan and ensure everything appears accurate before sharing it with your client

→ Generate and share the client’s invitation link for the HLC App directly through the Coach Portal

→ If you haven’t already, invite your client to schedule a session to review their meal plan together and begin their coaching journey

PHASE 3 CONSULTATION

As clients progress through the program, many coaches schedule an additional consultation around the transition into Phase 3.

This session may include:

→ Introducing additional foods and flexibility

→ Reviewing oils, treat meals, and long-term sustainability

→ Adjusting expectations based on progress and client feedback

→ Continuing to reinforce consistency and portion awareness

Phase 3 is often a point where clients begin noticing meaningful progress and increased confidence. This can be an excellent time to collect testimonials, progress updates, or before-and-after photos when appropriate and aligned with the client’s goals.

LIFESTYLE & LONG-TERM SUPPORT CONSULTATION (OPTIONAL)

Around the midpoint of the journey, many coaches incorporate a broader lifestyle-focused session to review overall progress and discuss additional health pillars such as:

→ Stress management

→ Sleep

→ Movement and exercise

→ Routine and habit consistency

→ Long-term sustainability

This stage is often less focused on perfection and more focused on helping clients recognize progress, build confidence, and continue developing sustainable habits.

PHASE 4 & ONGOING SUPPORT CONSULTATION

As clients approach Phase 4 and long-term maintenance, coaches may choose to provide additional resources or ongoing support options depending on the structure of their practice.

This may include:

→ Additional 1:1 support sessions

→ Monthly accountability check-ins

→ Group coaching or community support

→ Memberships or long-term maintenance programs

→ Educational blogs, newsletters, or continued guidance

The goal of long-term support is not only to help clients maintain their results, but also to continue strengthening the sustainable lifestyle habits developed throughout the program.
